The Runcorn City Learning Centre (CLC) is funded by the DfES as part of the Excellence in Cities programme and is a shared resource for all partner schools, the local community and local business. It is hosted by The Grange Comprehensive School who provide the technical, finance, maintenance and caretaking facilities to ensure the smooth running of the Centre.

The main focus of the CLC is to provide a facility where learners can experience and harness the power of ICT in a supportive learning environment using state-of-the-art ICT facilities. We are constantly looking at how the innovative use of technology can be used to motivate learners and be used as a tool to help raise standards across all curriculum areas.

Our ethos is to provide the highest possible level of support to allow teachers to integrate ICT into their subjects, ensuring that the use of the technology can contribute to higher levels of attainment. We are committed to providing continued professional development to all staff to allow them to become confident and competent users of ICT in the classroom.
