Welcome to the Runcorn CLCRuncorn City Learning Centre (CLC) works in partnership with Becta and is funded by the DCSF as a shared resource for all partner schools and the local community. The role of the CLC is to deliver projects that meet local needs and are in line with national priorities set by Becta. The main focus of the CLC is to provide a facility where learners can experience and harness the power of ICT in a supportive learning environment using state-of-the-art ICT facilities. We are constantly looking at how the innovative use of technology can be used to motivate learners and be used as a tool to help raise standards across all curriculum areas. Our ethos is to provide the highest possible level of support to allow teachers to integrate ICT into their subjects, ensuring that the use of the technology can contribute to higher levels of attainment. We are committed to providing continued professional development to all staff to allow them to become confident and competent users of ICT in the classroom.
